CHARACTERISTICS:
Color/Appearance: The sapwood is light color, it has a thickness of 5 or more cm. The heartwood is light brown to yellow-brown, it is clearly demarcated. The silver figure is fine (barely visible)
Weight/ Density: The average weight found in DABEMA is around 27-30 kgs/ cubic feet.
Workability: Its is moderately easy to saw. Slight blunting effect; ordinary tools can be used for sawing and machining. Difficult to obtain very good results because of interlocked grain.
Common Uses: generally gets used in chowkhats/ door frames/ indoor furniute.
